Motley Crue History:
With their 1983 debut of Shout at The Devil, Motley Crue managed to shock a fresh, waiting international audience. Hits such as "Too Young To Fall In Love" and "Looks That Kill" helped in molding the first music video generation. Smoke, pyrotechnics, and intense volume continued to power Motley Crue's shows, and by 1984, photos of Motley Crue adorned magazine covers everywhere.
Keeping one foot on the street, the other on the pedal, Motley Crue's rise continued unabated. The Crue's neverending conquest of arena, television and the radio waves powered on through the 80s, with Theatre of Pain and Girls, Girls, Girls riding high on the charts, and singles including Home Sweet Home, Wild Side and Smokin' In The Boys Room permeating the airwaves. With the hard rock revolution of the 1980s in full swing, Motley Crue was clearly a the leader of the pack.
In 1989 Motley Crue released Dr. Feelgood, which hit number one on the Billboard charts due to the strong singles "Kickstart My Heart," "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)," "Without You," and "Dr. Feelgood", which became their first Top Ten single. After another very successful tour, they released a compilation album, Decade of Decadence, in 1991. The album opened at number two. Since then the band has mostly worked on solo projects. Rumors of a reunion tour began in 2003-2004 even though the Motley Crue members continued to work on it's solo projects. The reunion rumors finally came true in late 2004 when the four original members announced dates for a full tour in 2005, their first in more than six years. The tour coincided with the February release of the band's double-disc greatest hits collection, Red, White & Crüe.
